WEG Variable Frequency Drives

WEG ElectricWEG started business in 1961 and today is one of the largest manufacturers of electric motors in the world today. WEG started out with humble beginning with three man having a dream. With this dream, hard work and discipline Werner Ricardo Voigt, Eggon Joao da Silva and Geraldo Werninghaus started WEG in Jaraguai da Sul, a small town in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.  With the commitment for growth they now export to over a 100 countries producing  millions of units per year. WEG is also committed to having  the latest technology into their product manufacturing process. WEG has the same philosophy today, as in 1961, which is based on hard work and discipline, plus having the most demanding total quality control standards.

WEG started the market in the U.S. in 1990, and today producing more than 11 million motors annually for industrial, commercial and domestic markets. They offer complete system solutions to a wide variety of industrial markets, including pulp and paper, food processing, steel manufacturing, cement plants, and chemical and petrochemical mining. They offer advanced technologies with a rigorous testing on all their units.  WEG great success with the export business in based on the company willingness to meet standard requirements, and keeping product inventories in strategic locations, personnel training, and prompt service. They employ over thirteen thousand people in different manufacturing facilities all over the world.
